Are you a dynamic, outgoing, people person with at least 2 years experience at the front desk in a multi-doctor dental office? If so, this may be the perfect job for you!
We are looking for a new associate to be the face of the Practice - the warm welcoming smile as patients walk in the door. This person must have excellent communication skills, be able to sit for stretches of time, be able to assist patients even with background noise, be detail oriented, flexible and demonstrate active listening skills. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position as is remaining calm under pressure.
As a Business Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our Practice. To be successful as a Business Assistant, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Ultimately, a Business Assistant’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, warm, welcoming, and professional manner
- Verify patient insurance information
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Make new patient reminder calls
- Take patient photos
- Answer, screen and forward incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar utilizing block scheduling
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, emailing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Process end of day reports
Experience:
- At least 2 years experience as a DENTAL front desk receptionist/business assistant in a multi-doctor practice is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems is desirable (Dentrix is a plus!)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Above all, a Customer Service Attitude!
