*Job Duties*
Prepare surgical packs, clean and stock rooms prior to and after surgical procedure.
Seat patients, answer questions, and prepare patient for procedure.
Take and develop necessary x-rays or CT scan.
Assist the doctor during surgical procedure. Anticipate needs and insure proper flow, body position, and document procedure as needed.
Assess patient readiness for discharge and assist patient with discharge process.
Sterilize instruments, dispose of trash and hazardous waste in prescribed manner.
Clean and maintain treatment rooms and office.

Exams supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized
•
Routinely tests and reports any issues or problems with sterilization equipment
•
Sterilizes, preps, wraps, and organizes equipment into instruments trays for using during medical procedures
•
Prepares and delivers all necessary equipment and instruments for procedures
•
Maintains records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance and supplies
•
Monitors inventory and supplies
