POSITION: Surgical Dental Assistant/ Implant Coordinator The following position is for employment with: Northern Texas Facial & Oral Surgery 4130 Justin Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75077 HOURS: Monday- Thursday 8:00am- 5:00pm Friday 8:00am-2:00pm POSITION PURPOSE We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused Surgical Dental Assistant/ Implant Coordinator to join our oral surgery team. This role is essential in supporting our surgeons during procedures while ensuring a safe, efficient, and exceptional experience for every patient. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality care. You will play a key role in both clinical support and patient interaction, contributing directly to the success of the practice. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Chairside Surgical Support: Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and available. • Patient Care: Prepare patients for surgery, review post-operative instructions, and provide reassurance to ensure a positive experience. • Implant Support: Responsible for implant/ bone graft inventory, preparation for surgical cases, schedules implant surgeries and presents treatment plans • Sterilization & Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. • Operatory Preparation: Set up and break down surgical rooms efficiently, ensuring readiness for each procedure. • Radiography & Imaging: Take dental radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging as needed. • Inventory & Supplies: Monitor and maintain clinical inventory, ensuring adequate stock of surgical materials and supplies. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, front office, and clinical team members to ensure seamless patient flow and operational efficiency. • Versatility: Support additional clinical and administrative tasks as needed to meet the needs of the practice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Safety Adherent: Follow strict safety guidelines and procedures according to OSHA and office standards. • Policy Follower: Adhere to all office policies diligently. • Interpersonal Dynamo: Maintain a positive rapport with patients and team members through excellent interpersonal skills. • Clear Communicator: Effectively communicate verbally with patients and staff in a clear and professional manner. • Detail-Oriented: Work efficiently with a keen eye for detail. • Flexible Worker: Adapt to changing job duties, work schedules, and traveling outside of your home location as needed. • Active Listener: Demonstrate active listening by fully engaging in conversations, understanding points being made, asking relevant questions, and avoiding inappropriate interruptions. • Positive Attitude: have a team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and grow Certifications and Safety Requirements: 1. Basic CPR and RDA Certification required 2. DAANCE Certification preferred ** 3. Dental implant knowledge preferred ** 4. Hepatitis B Vaccination & Titer 5.
