The Center for Advanced Dentistry is a well-established dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) with experience in CEREC technology to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a state-of-the-art facility and cutting-edge technology. Position Overview: As an EFDA with CEREC experience, you will play an essential role in assisting our dental team with chairside procedures, including designing and creating same-day restorations using CEREC technology. Your ability to perform a variety of expanded functions, as well as your proficiency in CEREC systems, will directly contribute to our patients’ overall satisfaction and the success of our practice. Key Responsibilities: Assist in chairside procedures, including CEREC scans, designing, and fabricating crowns, inlays, and onlays. Prepare and place restorations, temporaries, and other dental appliances under the supervision of the dentist. Take digital impressions, radiographs, and x-rays, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. Perform expanded duties as allowed by state regulations, including coronal polishing, applying sealants, and taking impressions for dentures, among others. Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment. Maintain accurate and updated patient records. Provide excellent patient care and make sure all patient concerns are addressed. Qualifications: Current EFDA certification (required). Strong proficiency with CEREC technology and software (required). Previous experience in a dental office, with a focus on restorative dentistry and chairside assisting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and office practices. Attention to detail and commitment to quality care. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital impressions and other CAD/CAM systems. CPR certification. Experience with dental radiography.
