Job Posting: Dental Hygienist Full and/or Part Time Location: Virginia Beach, VA Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time About Us: Join our patient-centered dental practice specializing in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Position Summary: We are seeking a confident, proactive, thorough Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter, committed to delivering outstanding patient care. When new patients are introduced to our practice, Dr. Korman does a comprehensive exam including a treatment plan before visiting hygiene. You would play a role in supporting the treatment plan and contributing positively to our collaborative work environment. We have a well established and healthy patient base and allow a full hour for prophy appointments (more for periodontal patients) to allow enough time for dialogue with patients and to create good rapport. Responsibilities: • Perform dental hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans and standards of care. • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention. • Conduct thorough patient assessments and periodontal charting. • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care. • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold clinical integrity. Qualifications: • Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia. Please be prepared to provide your hygienist license. • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist. • Proficient in using dental software and digital imaging technology. • Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to explain treatment plans and educate patients effectively. • Positive, caring, and professional demeanor with patients and colleagues. • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in dental hygiene.
