Surgical Dental Assistant for Oral Surgery (Dallas) Premier high-tech Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Dallas is looking for an experienced Surgical Assistant to join our outstanding team of professionals! The candidate should be a non-smoking individual with a great attitude and work ethic. Our location is in Uptown, just north of downtown Dallas. The candidate should be a Registered Dental Assistant with Oral Surgery experience. Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, self motivated, dependable, honest and an excellent communicator. Medical/Dental Billing/Collecting experience a plus. DAANCE certification is a big plus. Duties Include: Seating and examining patients Taking medical and dental history and vital signs Performing diagnostic imaging, facial and intraoral photography, CBCT and x-rays Assisting and circulating during surgery Assisting with general anesthesia and IV sedation Monitoring recovery room patients Cleaning, maintaining and sterilizing instruments Taking digital intraoral scans and bite registration Room turnover and infection control Sterilizer monitoring OSHA and HIPAA compliance Weekly and monthly checklists Cleaning OR and Lab Inventory, ordering and receiving of supplies and fulfilled orders Participating in social media marketing activities Surgical Assistants may also be asked to assist with the following administrative tasks: Answering multiline telephones and scheduling appointments Coordination of treatment among multiple doctors Insurance verification and pre-determination Scheduling procedures Creating treatment plans Discussing financial arrangements with patients Data entry Posting charges Posting payments and adjustments Patient statements Filing Hours are M-F 8-5.
