Description

Job Title: Full-time Orthodontic Assistant We are a reputable orthodontic office located in Richmond, TX, seeking an experienced and knowledgeable orthodontic assistant to join our team. As an orthodontic assistant, you will play an important role in our patient's journey to achieving their best smile. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures and treatments Take diagnostic records, including x-rays, impressions, iTero scanning and photographs Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Perform basic lab duties, such as pouring models and trimming appliances Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions Maintain a clean and organized workspace Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts as needed Schedule patient appointments and manage the patient schedule Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited dental assistant program Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience required Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and materials Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in the use of dental software and technology Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy Availability to work Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts CPR certification preferred We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and 401(k) plan.
