Dental Front Office Associate needed FT for check out in growing private oral surgery practice. We need an experienced and motivated person who has great customer service skills in person and on the phone, has experience in dental front office systems, is detailed oriented, a great multi tasker, and is an excellent communicator, and a good team player. Experience in oral surgery and knowledge of dental practice management software required. We offer a good Mon-Fri schedule (NO WEEKENDS), good compensation plus benefits available. Ability to communicate - expresses thoughts and ideas competently. Increases knowledge and skills through self-study and by attending courses and seminars. Able to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities. Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule appointments for specific doctor – use schedule templates for maximum efficiency Monitor the schedule throughout the day to ensure that all runs smoothly Call patients 5 minutes after appointed time if no show Confirm appointments for specific doctor/location and make sure financial arrangements are made Review pre-operative instructions Review the following week’s schedule daily. Adjust as necessary. Provide Dr. and assistant with next day’s schedule at end of day Keep staff and doctor informed of next available opening; time allotted for emergency patients, possible no shows Record and charge broken appointments and last-minute cancellations in computer Verify insurance; and make sure all insurance information is completed with copy of insurance card and driver’s license in patient’s chart Present treatment plan and fees to patient, and explain payment due 48 hours prior to day of surgery Provide patients with receipts Provide school and work excuses as requested Check-out patients upon leaving the office Confirm treatment plan with patient prior to surgery and notify doctor of changes Verify that patient information is correct in computer, and list of any medications is present Check accounts balances of patients and discuss any monies due Enters treatment plan (from back office) into computer – use tp – schedule – checkout workflow Post alerts on patient’s accounts Scan in implant information into patient’s account Charge out procedures in computer Request pre-estimates and follow up to see if response received from insurance – create follow up Post payments in computer Balance at end of each day (use the Balance End of Day section of training manual as a guide) Make sure denture patients bring or have dentures delivered before extraction appointment Make sure all consents are signed prior to surgery and be sure the morning of, they sign in person Inform doctor if new patients have any family members that are/have been patients Run end of day reports and give copy to doctor Monday - Friday schedule - No weekends Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, 401k with a match and profit sharing, Paid time off and holiday pay Bonuses
