Salary Range $21 - $22 hourly We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing exceptional patient care. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Schedule: This position is for 2 Full Days from 8-5 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 1 Shortened Day from 8-1 on Friday twice a month ( we try to book them for the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month) , Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support - Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the dental office Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Registered Dental License in TN - Current CPR certification - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology - Proficiency in using dental software systems for scheduling and record keeping, we use Open Dental - Familiarity with aseptic technique and CAD/CAM technology is a plus - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and make a difference in patients' lives, please apply with your resume attached.
