League City Elite Dentistry is searching for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. We currently have 1 full time hygienist and 1 part time hygienist. Our current full time hygienist is moving back to Dallas in July. ***THIS POSITION STARTS AT THE END OF MAY*** Our office prides itself on being a friendly and positive place for staff and patients of all ages. As a RDH at League City Elite Dentistry, you will complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist the dentist with examinations. We are looking for someone with incredible customer service skills and a passion for providing excellent dental care. Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities: Co-diagnosis with the dentist is a MUST Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable Clean dental instruments after procedures Perform preliminary dental examinations Precision with periodontal charting Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages Provide post-operative health education to patients Create dental impressions as requested Take diagnostic radiographic images and intraoral pictures Work with dentist to decide the best form of treatment for a variety of dental disease Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history Dental Hygienist Requirements: Dental Hygiene degree and license required At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene (new graduates encouraged to apply) Current CPR certification Laser certification is required/ interest in becoming laser certified Nitrous Oxide Monitoring certification is preferred An understanding of OSHA and HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer procedures Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills Compensation: Sign on Bonus Competitive Hourly Rate Paid Holidays and PTO Work Schedule: 4 days a week: Mondays ,Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:30-5:30/ Friday 7:30-3:30
