Periodontal Surgical Dental Assistant Office Locations Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry - SouthPark – 6719 Fairview Road, Unit A, Charlotte, NC 28210 Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry - Waxhaw – 514 North Broome Street, Waxhaw, NC 28173 Signature Periodontics & Implant Dentistry - Lake Norman – 9727 Northcross Center Ct, Unit B, Huntersville NC 28078 Starting Rate: Dependent upon experience Schedule • Monday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (SouthPark, Waxhaw) • Tuesday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (all locations) • Wednesday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (SouthPark only) • Thursday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (SouthPark, Huntersville) • Friday - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (all locations) At Signature Perio, we rely on knowledgeable professionals to interact with our valued patients who have questions or concerns. An ideal candidate is motivated and well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct/indirect patient care and able to make office and surgical procedures as smooth as possible. This position will report directly to the dentists and/or the office manager. Responsibilities • Review patient schedule for the day and prepare patient medical records. • Sterilization of equipment. • Set up operatories with necessary dental instruments. • Take radiographs as needed for treatment and diagnostics. • Monitor vital signs during surgery. • Maintaining inventory by ordering and restocking dental supplies. • Educate patients about oral health. Requirements and skills • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience (minimum of one year) dental assisting. • Certified Dental Assistant I required. • Dental X-Ray Certification required. • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA). • Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment. • Strong communication skills along with active listening. • Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills. • A patient and empathetic attitude. • Strong time management and organizational skills. • Adaptability and flexibility. • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments. • Troubleshooting skills, either basic or advanced, depending on the role and industry. • Proficiency with computers, especially with Denticon software, and strong typing skills. • Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems. • Knowledge of the practice’s services. • Fluency in a second/multiple languages highly preferred.
