Description

Our state of the art, pediatric dental practice is seeking an energetic, full time Registered Dental Hygienist who is team oriented with an outgoing, friendly personality. Dental Hygienist Qualifications and Skills: • Minimum 2 years as a registered dental hygienist. • Licensed in the State of Illinois • Enthusiastic personality and must enjoy working with children. • Proficient computer skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; be able to communicate effectively with patients, parents, and team members. • Possess a helpful, team-oriented mindset; take initiative to help, and can anticipate the needs of others. • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while achieving the highest level of patient care. • Well organized and detail oriented • Reliable and punctual • Eaglesoft dental software experience a plus. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): • Taking digital radiographs • Assist pediatric dentist chairside for examinations • Maintain patient records in dental software program, health history, charting, findings, notes, etc. • Present and explain treatment plans • Instruct patients (and parents) on oral hygiene • Schedule appointments • Perform dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings • Periodontal probing as needed • Apply fluoride treatments • Sterilization of instruments, sanitization of treatment room and lab in accordance with OSHA, CDC, IDPH, and ADA guidelines • Provide support to other team members Work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am-5:15 pm, with a 1-hour lunch.
