dental job board

Looking for a new dental job – for whatever reason – can be a complicated, time-consuming, and emotionally draining process. Even when you find an opportunity that appears to be just the right fit for your professional skills and experience, the process of applying through yet another generic job portal can quickly take the wind out of your sails.

With so many job boards out there, it’s challenging to know which one’s right for you. But instead of looking for a job portal, you should be looking for a dental career tool dedicated to helping you land your dream job.

DentalPost is a job board dedicated to the dental profession. Using data and the guidance you need to navigate the complexities of looking for a new job, this career tool will simplify the job-hunting process. Continue reading for a behind-the-scenes view of what you’d get with DentalPost at your side.

Take a Sneak Peek at Our Dental Job Seeker Dashboard

The dental job seeker dashboard’s easy-to-use interface is brimming with features to take you one step closer to finding your dream dental job. The dashboard view is unique to a job seeker’s actual location and dental role. A far-left sidebar contains the widgets that lead to available features, including a personal message inbox, job interview calendar, and resource center.

From the dashboard, you can also search for jobs by geographic location, edit your resume profile and complete free DentalPost assessments like Skills, Core Values, DISC, and Emotional Intelligence to help you understand your personal and professional needs in order to find the right fit for you.

7 Features That Help You Find a Dental Job You Love

Feature 1: Step-by-Step Dental Resume Profile Checklist

While it may take a little longer to fully complete your resume profile, it’s a necessary step to helping you stand out from the crowd and get noticed by potential employers. Dental employers will search our job board looking for specific skills to match them to appropriate candidates. If your profile has gaps, you may miss out on the opportunity for an interview.

While 100% completion is the ideal state for best results, we recommend that your profile is at least 70% complete for it to be noticed by potential employers. However, completing your resume introduction and having at least five skills selected from your Skills Assessment (more on that below) is all you need to be able to start applying for jobs.

To help you put your best foot forward, we provide a checklist to guide you through the process step-by-step. A progress bar tracks your status as you complete each section.

Feature 2: Skills Assessment

Matching you to the right dental employers works to everyone’s advantage. Not only is the dental practice paired with the best candidates, but your chances of landing a rewarding job that fits your professional needs and requirements are that much higher.

DentalPost offers a free five-step wizard to help you rank your experience level from a list of technical, computer and software, philosophy and training, and general skills.

Feature 3: Free Personality & Career Assessments

Personality and career assessments give potential employers a deeper look into who you are and whether you’re the right fit for their dental team and culture. Completing assessments like DISC, Emotional Intelligence, Core Values, and Workplace Culture helps your Dental Resume Profile stand out from the crowd and rise to the top of a dental hiring manager’s search results. It also makes it much easier to match your profile to dental employers looking for a candidate like you.

DISC Personality Test

A DISC assessment gives employers insight into how you view the world, communicate, and handle conflict. Once you know the combination that makes up your personality, you’ll understand how to communicate better and navigate conflict with others.

Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Emotional Intelligence is “the ability to understand and manage your emotions and understand and influence the emotions and behaviors of others.” In dentistry, EI will assist you in providing exemplary patient care, ensuring patients are comfortable and at ease, and allowing you to do your job better.

Core Values

A Core Values assessment helps you understand what you find important in life. This assessment will reveal the values you deem most significant so you can know what to look for and ask in your job interview.

Workplace Culture

If you’ve ever wondered which work environment you will thrive in the most, chances are you’d appreciate our Workplace Culture assessment.

Feature 4: Jobs searchable by zip / Postal code

Nothing is worse in a job search than finding a job you know you’d excel at, only to realize it’s halfway across the country or simply too far for you to commute. The default job search view helps you filter dental job ads by your desired position and location. By entering your zip or postal code and narrowing your search to a set distance, you should only get job ads specific to your qualifications and your area.

Feature 5: Salary Survey Findings and Job Satisfaction Report

DentalPost gives you the data, guidance, and information you need to be the most successful in your dental career. Our comprehensive salary survey findings and job satisfaction report put the latest data and industry trends for each dental position at your fingertips. This data will empower you with information you can use to compare experiences and expectations with others in your specific role.

Feature 6: Interview Scheduling and Messages

Looking for a new job and interviewing can feel like a full-time job. DentalPost’s built-in interview management tool saves you time and helps you avoid confusion by keeping all your interview details in one place. Each time you log into your account, you can quickly confirm the dates and times of upcoming interviews to better plan and prepare. You can also keep in touch with each recruiter via your private messaging inbox.

Feature 7: Browse Dental Events and Continuing Education Opportunities

In an industry constantly changing and improving, it pays to have your finger on the pulse of industry learning, networking events, and continuing education (CE) resources. On DentalPost’s Events and Continuing Education page, you’ll see upcoming nationwide and local events, plus dental CE courses suited to you (virtual and in-person).

Plus, through our exclusive partnership with igniteDDS University, DentalPost members can complete AGD PACE-approved courses tailored to dentists, hygienists, assistants, and front office personnel, all for one low annual subscription price. Once you complete CE, you can use your DentalPost profile to keep track of your CEs all in one place and receive email reminders when they’re expiring.
