Dental Assistant

Overview:We are looking for a dedicated, long-term employee who will bring a strong, positive personality to our practice to maintain existing patients, while also working within our current systems.
Our ideal candidate is professional with a positive attitude who is comfortable with multi-tasking, has excellent communication skills, is a team player, and contributes a helpful and positive attitude to our face paced work environment. 2+ years’ experience and expanded skills preferred but not required; photo series, placing composites, crown seats, temporary crowns, sealants, alginate and PVS impressions, N2O administration, familiar with root canals, etc. **All new hires are on a 60-day probation/training period.
Salary rate: $20-35 based on experince

Responsibilities:
Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history.
Assisting with surgical procedures by handling supplies and instruments as requested.
Prepare tables and trays for dentist with a necessary instruments and supple.
Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs.
Ensure appropriate supply of equipment and materials.
Perform patient charting as instructed.
Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
Qualifications:
Experience with placing composites, crown seats, temporary crowns, sealants, alginate
PVS impressions,
Experince with N2O administration
Experince with Oral Pathology
Experienced in taking impressions
Experience with oral surgery
X-ray certification where state regulations apply
Dental Assistant certification and/or license where state regulations specify

Responsibilities:
Ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their dental visits.
Perform thorough oral health screenings, including Oral Cancer Screenings.
Identify and address conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
Conduct professional teeth cleanings and provide protective treatments.
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation for every patient.
Requirements:
Valid Hygiene license.
Effective communication skills with patients and team members.
Compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Compensation: You have the flexibility to choose between hourly pay or production-based pay, tailored to your preferences and expertise.
